Rise of India and Indian Cricket !
In the last few decades, India has made tremendous growth as a country and as a cricketing nation. Indian population comprises of more than 50 % citizens below the age of 25 which is aspiring and want to make a name for itself, which will eventually gonna have a positive impact on the country's economy in the longer run. The startup culture in India has taken as a frontrunner as many are aspiring to become an entrepreneur rather than be job seekers and it is also predicted that India could become the first nation which has shown such rapid growth in startups.
Similarly, in cricket also India has made tremendous strides over the last couple of decades. A cricket team that use to stumble under pressure or used to be very dependent on a few key players in the past now thrives in pressure situations and shown signs of great unity, enjoying each other's success and at the time that competition of getting a chance to play in the starting playing XI is eventually producing more quality player now as the domestic tournament in India has also improved along with some great infrastructure. The type of infrastructure, India was having in the past has completely changed and now many cricket team visits India for various training and working on their various skills. India has become a global leader in world cricket as there is total dominant of India in ICC various decisions, be it scrapping ICC t20 cup in Sept-Oct 2020 due to covid 19 and so allowing a space in the international calendar so all international cricketers can participate in Indian Premier League. Also, the number of ICC tournament happening in India is increasing regularly. The domination of India is increasing in world cricket, similarly the way the US used to dominate in the world economy.
There was a phase in Indian cricket where we used to heavily dependent on individuals to win you matches and the day they don't perform entire cricket team used to fall like a pair of cards. The prime example is that of the great Sachin Tendulkar, when he used to get out, the entire country use to switch off television as everyone knows the negative outcome of the match will be. But things have changed now if the calibre of cricketers like Virat Kohli is missing for a particular series still Indian cricket team can compete and win cricket matches against opponents. Even there are a lot of players missing out due to injuries in a particular series still Indian cricket team has a lot of depth in their squad and can compete in their absence.
India has all the resources and skills to be the global power both in cricket as well as a nation, all we need is the mindset and the politics to channelise this youth energy, resource and skills in the right direction.
