Time and time again, Dravid humbleness is certainly becoming a hot topic for admiration in the social media in recent past. Recently, his new CRED advertisement is going viral on social media where everyone seem perplexed with how the brand convinced him to come up with something like this.

Within hours after release of CRED ad campaign for IPL, it went viral because of his creativity. Now many will say what was creative in that advertisement ? He was just shouting and screaming stuck in bengaluru traffic .The answer is Rahul dravid.A guy who is so conscious of his image and everyone had seen him doing all the right things, such image has left his fans in spills. No one on earth can think that Rahul dravid will come up with something like," Indiranagar ka gunda hu mein ".

Let us revisit Rahul dravid past image that has left everyone shocked and amused with his latest CRED advertisement.

1) Turning down an honorary degree

When a university from Bangalore offered him honorary degree as a mark of respect, he simply refused it as he wanted to earn the same rather than being offered as an honorary.

2)  Standing in queue with other parents in science exhibitions.

Just like any other parents, Rahul was seen in queue waiting for his number in a science exhibition with simply no attitude pose.

3)   Agreed for reduced prize money to ensure there is no discrimination.

When India won the U-19 Cricket world cup in New Zealand in 2018, BCCI announced prize money of Rs 50 lakhs, 30 lakhs and 20 lakhs to Dravid, player's and team staff respectively, Dravid raised his voice for equal prize money.

4)   His quote on the failure's still give's goosebumps to many.

While speaking at a sports conclave in Bengaluru, Rahul said something very motivating stuff relating to failure which youth could take so much inspiration from. Rahul said, "Back in my time, a half-century was considered a good score. Across formats, I batted 604 times for India. I didn't cross 50 runs 410 times out of those innings. I failed a lot more times than I succeeded. I'm more a failure than a success, So, I'm quite qualified to talk about failure."

5)    Big Car's, brands and show off lifestyle is not his cup of tea.

In a world of social media, where everyone believes in showing off yourself, wearing brands and enjoying a very luxurious life, Rahul believes in a normal life where brands and fame do not bother him at all.

There have been numerous other occasions also where the wall has shown his humility but the country don't remember him for good things, they recall him for how slow he used to bat or how this guy is boring to watch but they had never applauded him for the good things he has done for the country. Now they may remember him for the "Indiranagar ka gunda hu mein" jibe.

What the youth today need's is role models which are hardly out there and one can learn a thing or two from this great man who has always played the game under the shadow of Sachin Tendulkar.
